The Remote Fiber-Optic Camera Extension System enables frame acquisition from a remote camera at a distance of up to 40 km without repeaters.
¡á Up to 4 SFP+ transceiver modules each at 6.144 (or 6.25GHz) support for up to 40Km transmission without repeaters ¡á Direct connection to Gidel's Frame grabbers / Proc Boards, thus reducing infrastructure cost and components ¡á Camera Link Medium , Dual Base or Full mode at an average line transfer rate of up to 4.8Gb/s data on a single SFP+ link.
Camera Link Full 80-bit mode, is supported as well via dual SFP+ links ¡á Support for CoaXPress, SDI & HDMI will be released in Q1/2015 ¡á A remote RS232 via an SDR connector
OVERVIEW
The Remote Fiber-Optic Camera Extension System enables frame acquisition from a remote camera at a distance of up to 40 km without repeaters.
The remote camera connects directly to the extension module that transmits the camera image over fiber optic cables to either a Gidel reconfigurable Frame Grabber mounted on a host computer or to any User Frame Grabber via an additional a Gidel RCLGR module.
Connection to the Gidel family of Frame grabbers offers a number of options including:
◦ Image processing using Gidel open source ProcFG grabbing and processing system. ◦ Grabbing from multiple cameras and camera types simultaneously on a single Frame Grabber. ◦ Retransmission of the signal in other protocols such as SDI, DVI, HDMI, CoaXPress, etc.
The Extension kit supports Proc10A, ProceV, and ProceIII/IV Proc board families.
